Hosted by Louanne Moldovan
Hosted by veteran theatre actress and director Louanne Moldovan, The Actor’s Nightmare is a weekly podcast featuring real horror stories from the stage, told by the actors who actually lived through them. Sometimes terrifying, sometimes hard to believe, usually very funny, The Actor’s Nightmare transports listeners from the safety of their world to the edge of a live stage where everything that can go wrong…often does.
Originally from San Francisco, Louanne spent nearly two decades in Los Angeles, where she performed in theater, film and television. She was part of the Second City’s Monday Nite Show, worked at 20th Century Fox and was a member of the prestigious Women’s Writing Project at the Los Angeles Theater Center. In Portland, Louanne has been Artistic Director of Cygnet Productions, the acclaimed ‘literary cabaret’ theater company and won the Oregon Book Award in 2007 as co-author of a play about the Algonquin Round Table writers. The Actor's Nightmare is a passion project for Louanne who, after decades of listening to these wonderful and horrifying stories from the stage, finally has the privilege to collect them for the whole world to hear.
